What is known from the channel:

  • The group was on the fence about playing — several members (including Doug/host) expressed some roleplay fatigue — but ultimately confirmed the session was on.
  • Vargr noted the party is “almost done with the first chapter” of this campaign; “end of chapter 1” was said verbally at the table but never posted to Slack.
  • Vargr confirmed out of town the week of 2026-06-29 AND the week of 2026-07-06 (two weeks). Richard is also out the following two weeks (2026-07-13, 2026-07-20). No sessions for ~4 consecutive weeks; earliest return is the week of 2026-07-27.
  • A D&D Beyond cart link was shared in channel pre-session (22:10 UTC) — contents unknown.
  • Post-session: discussion about automating room recording. Options discussed: USB mic + bazzite/closet NAS via cron job, Pi Zero 2W in kitchen, or a Pi 4 with 7" touchscreen + PiJuice battery as a dual-purpose tabletop device (recording + D&D Beyond browser). Vault note written to Context/DnD/session-recording-setup.md with hardware list and cron configs for all three options. No hardware purchased yet; decision pending.
